  But that doesn't excuse what the Russian police did to these people. Seems like you want to get off on their suffering because some people an entire world away made you suffer too.

  The police are doing what the government told them to do, and governments sometimes tell them to beat some body up to get information it has been happening for thousands of years. But I don't recall anybody on this thread giving any indication they are "getting off" on their suffering it is more like some people are blowing way out of proportion what some people have wrote, from what I recall some only said they really weren't that concerned about their plight,, I being one.

  I think why should I care what happens to JWs because religious persecution in another country especially when the Watchtower seems to attract such persecution from the lame ass stupid stuff they write about governments and other religions in their publications. I'm tons more concerned about that,, then any heat they draw from writing such utter bullshit.

  The way I see it the WT corporation really gets off on this type of stuff and like the letter writing champagne to Malawi officials and Hitler during WW2, all designed to whip things up in the name of corporate Jehovah and bring misery to their sheep while the corporate big wigs(GB) sit back behind a desk at comfortable headquarters and watch and plot how to get the most mileage from the situation..

  So how do all the bleeding hearts for JWs persecuted in a Russia feel about the USA's CIA torturing or enhanced interrogation techniques, used on suspects at Guantanamo Bay? Personally I feel about the same way the only difference is I'm from the US, and they were probably captured not in the US and were brought to Cuba were they could be tortured and not violate any US laws.

  Watchtower Trolleys With Added Bling

  my wife and i were in edinburgh on saturday (did a ghost tour) and around dusk we passed two trolleys on the high street — aka 'the royal mile' — that both had two rows of led lights under the little shelves.

  has anybody else seen this or is it a local innovation?

  i'm happy to report their pimped-up trolleys were attracting no attention as usual.

  Thank you I typed it in my search engine and couldn't find anything except about the union jack and I agree to a limited extent as would any normal human I guess. We humans have got as far as we have by a me first type viewing the plight of others it is just some of us may be come by denial not be able to see it in our selves, and project it on to a easy hook.

  All the fact seem to show that man is becoming more and more civilized and less prone to acts of violence. Hey civilizations started about 10,000 years ago in the fertile crecent when we learned farming our dna is a little slow in catching up, so it is still in our nature to do violence eventually this might change if it gives us no significant advantage at survival but now it seems to be bubbling up in Russia. I actually have hope that someday we lose this violent nature as a way to handling problems but I'm afraid it may take a few more hundred years or maybe sooner I hope(nanotechnology looks promising).

  Acts of brutality such as these are never justified - no matter what the circumstances.

  Tell that to the governments of the world they seem to think it can be justified, say, defending some ideology called freedom be it what ever they call freedom.

  I personal do not condone violence and might be loosely termed a pacifist for myself but in terms of what governments need to do survive I'm not nieve as to the dangers to stay in power. I know human nature and what the other guy is capable to do to gain power. So I can't say I agree with this statement.

  I wish the Russian government could put the Governing Body through that experience, that's something I would give 4shits and a pile of diarrhea to see. No guilty feeling here for feeling that way. Hey like it is all perspective really and they can't arrest ya for what you think in the US so why not feel a little happy over some GB getting his ass kicked and thrown in prison or out on the street living inside a cardboard and begging for food? To me it's a simple case of being in the wrong place at the right time. Oh and lets not forget karma is a real bitch to deal with you gotta start paying for your sins sometime.
